the damage and loss caused by disaster events is everybody's business and it should not be over politicized. There are lives loss, and physical damaged to assets and economic losses and the public and private sector should design together prevention systems that can help absorb shocks and help avoid risk that cause damage and suffering. No matter what causes these events, the trend is concerning and I believe the private sector can play a huge role to build a more resilient economy and society.
